British School in Baku, Azerbaijan

Established in September 2007, the British School in Baku is fast becoming known as the only British International School in Azerbaijan.

Teaching is based on the English National Curriculum and is adapted for life in an international setting. The curriculum, and the qualifications offered are integral to one the most successful in schools in the world. The British School in Baku sees learning as being a lifelong experience and therefore instils in each pupil a love for learning, as well as the opportunity to gain qualifications which will allow direct entry to university courses across the world.

The school provides excellent specialist facilities, including dedicated laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, art and music rooms, ICT rooms and a recently extended library.

Classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and ICT plays an integral role in teaching. Internet access is available in all classrooms. The classrooms themselves have recently been refurbished with new furniture and equipment and textbooks are imported from the UK. There is a Sixth Form Common Room in which pupils may study or remain in their break times.
